Applications move between the Spanish consulate in your country, the extranjería offices in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Puerto del Rosario, and the town halls for the padrón — each with its own forms, fees and habits. Knowing them is half the job.

Residency — what clients ask first.
Which residence permit is right for me?
It depends on income, work and family: non-lucrative for those living on their own means, the digital-nomad visa for remote workers, EU family cards, work permits and arraigo. The first consultation is precisely this diagnosis.
Does the golden visa still exist?
No — Spain ended the investor (“golden”) visa in April 2025. Buyers and investors now use the ordinary routes: non-lucrative, digital-nomad or work-based residency. If you saw it advertised somewhere, that page is out of date.
Can I apply from Spain, or must I start at the consulate?
It depends on the permit and your current status: some files must start at the Spanish consulate in your country, others can be filed from Spain. Getting this wrong is a common cause of refusal, so we map it before filing.
How long does a residency application take?
Legal deadlines vary by permit and office workload — from weeks to several months. We give you a realistic estimate for your specific route at the consultation, not a generic promise.
